The facility seems understaffed, very slow to respond to the patient's call lights. The phone was not answered at a nursing station and rang 10 times. Food is appetizing and activities are offered, and yet many current patients seem sad or angry and the building needs repairs and updating.
Great attitude of all staff members at Allis Care Center. I called today and received a floor nurse (early morning hours) and she was able to assist with what I needed.
On many counts, I have to agree with previous assessments. Unclean, un-kept, poor food quality (and cold), odor of urine everywhere, exceedingly run-down facility. Patients are un-kept and attending physicians doing a unforgivingly poor job. A doctor examined my loved one and the next day they were rushed to the hospital with an obvious illness any practiced physician would have diagnosed on the spot. It's amazing the people running a toture pit like this are allowed to keep it in bussiness by the state of wisconsin.
This place is amazing what all they do for disabled children. The services are outstanding. The love given to the residents by the staff is overwhelming. Bless the residents AND staff of this amazing place.
