Vern is, without a doubt, the BEST general surgeon in Oregon. He saved my wife's life after a putzed surgery by an irresponsible cowgirl that let her flunky close an exploratory surgery after promising us that she would do it. But she had a wedding to attend; probably more important. The incision was so full of suture that after months of 'wound clinic' treatment it remained a medieval, pus-oozing scar; nobody would touch it until we met Vern. What more can you say about bedside manner? Dr. Cowell was an upstanding, honorable man who acted quickly to get my surgery done and met with me prior to the surgery in the OR and took my hand and provided comfort. That is a rare breed in a human! Much appreciated!
Dr. Cowell is a very caring, patient, and responsive surgeon. He returned my in 1/2 hour, performed surgery in a short amount of time, and his team answered all my questions several days afterwards. Thank you!
