A terrific Neurologist and a wonderful lady. I am truly sorry she plans to retire in December 2023.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Hairston for years now. She has a very easy bedside manor. I have MS. She’s stayed on top of my MRI’s and medication. Along with her incredible nurse Martha I’ve received the best of care! 5*
Dr. Hairston is excellent, and has gone above in beyond in helping my treat my migraines, including throughout three changes of insurance in a single year-- and intimidating thing to navigate when one is seeking expensive treatments such as Botox. Her nurse is wonderful as well. I'm so thankful for them both!
Dr Hairston is the worst Dr I have ever seen and should not be practicing medicine. Below are facts of what she has done to me personally. Do not go to KU or this Dr. - Rheumatologist Dr asked why I was sent back to her when my 1st MRI noted abnormal findings. She said "I'm not a neurologist and you need one as this is a neuro issue" - I started 15 months ago with right sided numbness and it has progressed. There is something wrong with her. I'm not sure whether she is burnt out or what but Dr. Hairston delivered extremely poor and sluggish care for the two years I was under her care. She would schedule testing and never communicate that to me during appts. She scheduled the wrong tests or unnecessary tests, delaying my care. She was very aloof the whole time and I always wondered if she was even listening. One appointment she had very long nails and could barely type her notes. I was embarrassed for her.
