This department needs a change. A lot of people are in desperate need of their service and they are unaccommodating everyone. I don’t trust them. They’re supposed to be helping people, not amplifying peoples problems
Truly awful service. I unfortunately signed up recently after unexpectedly losing work and I have been surprised at how thoroughly terrible the DOL is. From 1 hour and a half wait times on the phone, to staff that clearly want to be there even less than those trying to get back to work, this department in inefficient and outdated. The means in which to file are archaic and sluggish and don't even recognize contemporary businesses that don't have physical addresses or businesses that opt for contact forms instead of landline ... read more
Contacted DoL and gave all the info on the situation. A couple emails back and forth, barely any communication, updates, or help from DoL. In the end after i did tons of calls and texts to HR and managers on my own (getting ignored, blown off, and treated like an inconvenience) i had to get my lawyer involved so i could finally get my 1 weeks pay almost TWO MONTHS later.
