They make a bbq brush that looks solid but the handle is not well secured and the brush broke in half. Now we have to send it to the landfill. So much for “quality” made in america. Looks like it was made in the third world to purposefully break after 1 year so you buy another one. Fake branding use of “castings”. Call yourself something else and sell at Dollar General.

We have been running the "Intrepid II" for about 27 years, overhauling it ourselves. It may not be big enough for a big house in the U.S., but here in Japan it's just the right size, and it's warm enough to relax in just a short-sleeved T-shirt even in the cold winter. It's a shame that repair parts are becoming harder to come by.
Used to be very proud of the Vermont Castings name. Bought a new Aspen stove 1 year ago and it does bot work after trying everything. Absolute garbage product, and will never buy another Vermont Castings stove. Waste of money.
