Today, I experienced an incident at the Verizon store that I feel compelled to share. As a Black female business owner with 16 years of independent business experience, I hold myself and my team to the highest standards of customer service. My consistent five-star reviews reflect my belief that when someone pays for a service, they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect that goes above and beyond basic expectations. Second time at this location that we’ve upgraded devices and end up spending multiple hours on the phone with customer service because the devices weren’t activated correctly. Save your time and go to a different Verizon store unless you want to spend hours on the phone with customer service to get your new phones activated.
Tried asking an associate to help translate for my husband and he literally said “ I can’t, it’s not my sale.” To which I responded, I’m just asking “if you speak Spanish and can help translate.” And he said “yes i can speak Spanish but it’s not my sale. He will help you” and I said “ well my husband needs a translator, can you help?” And he just sat there and never came over. I’ve been to this store a few times and I have to say it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had when it comes to customer service. First time they had the doors locked and the older white lady had to ask me questions before allowing me in the store, second time the little white guy or maybe he identifies as her was very rude in tone and acted as though my presence in the store was aggravating him, today Monday August 18th I’m parked in front of the store as I do this review, went in the store and no one spoke to me period.
