Today I had the misfortune of picking up a phone, that I bought from a Verizon Corporate customer service representative, at the Sherman, TX Verizon store. The sales girl that confronted me upon entering was initially pleasant but as soon as I told her I only needed to pick up a pre-paid phone she became instantly rude and abrupt. If I could give this store and Verizon as a whole negative stars I would. On May 5 a male entered the Sherman Verizon store location with a fake ID purchasing a phone from my account. I live in NC, have a NC phone number and address and this individual uses a CA ID while in TX with my name. Not only were there several red flags presented right there, when they go to authenticate me via my phone that was overridden so I had no way to protect myself.
