I went in knowing exactly what I needed. An upgrade to one phone and to transfer a number on my active account to the phone I was upgrading. Backstory: we all know Verizon has the pay for upgrades with a monthly installment. I was trying to avoid that for my father’s phone because yes, it’s an iPhone, but he’s a bit older and doesn’t care about what version he has. Went last January and got the trade in phone. The person that waited on us was very patient and helpful. It took awhile to transfer info off phones but everything went pretty smoothly.
I went to get my phone unlocked, and they took my name and number. I had to wait an hour without any updates, and then I waited another 30 minutes until another associate informed me that they couldn’t unlock my phone. This entire situation could have been avoided if they had been competent enough to communicate with me beforehand.
