I’ve always had decent experiences at Verizon, but my recent visit to this store and follow up visits were disappointing because of one specific manager (African American). Instead of supporting his team, he was openly rude—yelling at an employee for taking too long with a customer and showing no patience for older folks who needed help but didn’t have an appointment. Amir, who works at the front desk as a greeter, allowed me to wait in line for over 10 minutes without greeting me, apologizing for the delay, or even making eye contact with me as he was resolving another issue. Generally, good practice would be to acknowledge those who are waiting in line, even if they are unable to be seen at the moment.
