I wish there was an option for zero stars here...Verizon allowed my stepmother to turn off my dad's acct after putting him in a nursing home and kept her phone on his acct &SS# as she told them he was dead and they never asked for proof. He asked me to help him get a phone, so I did. They wouldn't let him have it in his own name, though. Said I'd have to put it in my name for 30 days, and then he could put it in his name and transfer it out of my name.
