I've been seeind Dr. Barrs for 10+ years. While he has been good with requisitions for tests and refills, under his care my spine, shoulders, hips continued to degenerate, and even with imaging that indicated action was urgently required, nothing was done. Now I am in need of spine, hip and shoulder surgery! Thing is, we can't do all at once, and at 70, I don't feel I am strong enough. I've already suffered for 14 years, how much more! I’ve been trying to get ahold of the clinic for well over 6 months & the phone never picks up the phone. No I’m in the predicament that the office also ignores faxes from my pharmacist to renew medications that I need on a daily basis. Free healthcare only works when the people working in the industry actually care about people that require medical help.

I've been chasing Barrs for dissability papers for over a year now. He says I'm too young, my specialist say I'm one of the few cases in Montreal with my severity and that je was surprised to hear my first request was denied because Barrs wrote that my 40 years of arthritis amd my mechanical heart valve may get better in the next 2 years..... love the guy. time to retire though.
