Booked verendah apartment with request for ground floor due to my mobility issues. Arrived after 4pm when reception closed and found that we were placed on first floor requiring 2flights of stairs. The couch was grubby and uncomfortable, the base of the coffee table very dirty . The outdoor furniture also uncomfortable. We could not get the TV to work and the only number to ring was for emergency only. My husband went to the shop and bought batteries for the remote which worked but he shouldn’t have to do that. Could not fault the room, the service or the location; all 5 star! We were lucky enough to find a last minute 2 bedroom apartment after we had to move from our original accommodation as it was ‘sub-standard’. From the moment we arrived (very early, with lots of luggage) the lady on reception was super helpful and accommodating; allowing us to keep our luggage in reception whilst our room was prepared. We recently stayed here for three nights and I posted a review on Booking.com which did not save correctly, hence my review here. We had a lovely warm welcome and the location of the property is superb. We did have a few issues with the room, which we informed the staff of and they dealt with the issues in a professional and efficient manner. There was water leaking from the air-con unit in the cupboard, which we were told was normal (we don’t have any aircon in our UK home!) There was a swarm of small insects on the balcony... read more
