So sad. A princess in serious decline. Reception area is worn and faded, carpet on the beautiful staircase was ripped and dangerous.. The room I stayed in was beyond disrepair. King bed with one side table and one lamp. Dollar General quality furniture and curtains. I had to ask for an extension cord as there was only one outlet available on the other side of the room. My friends and I went to Chimney Rock for one night and stayed with my friends dad at his house. We went to The Lake Lure Inn for drinks. It was beautiful!
The history, antiques, and overall beauty is incredible. Not to mention how everyone working there are the best. I can't wait to go back.
