The moment I walked into Veranda I had so wished I knew about this place before placing her in a terrible place in Brownsville. Veranda gave my mom comfort and care her last few weeks. I will forever be grateful to nurse Maria, for in many ways also taking care of me. Even the business office, Ana Martinez, worked with me. There is a vibrance and an energy to this place and a genuine feeling that they care.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the social worker at this nursing home. Throughout my grandmother’s stay, they demonstrated exceptional professionalism, compassion, and dedication. They provided clear guidance and support during what can often be a complex and emotional process, ensuring that our family felt informed and reassured every step of the way. Their ability to communicate effectively and address our concerns with patience and understanding was truly invaluable.
The food at this nursing home has truly exceeded our expectations. Meals are not only nutritious but also delicious and thoughtfully prepared. There’s a great variety, and you can tell the staff takes pride in making sure residents enjoy what they’re eating. It’s comforting to know our loved one is getting meals that feel both satisfying and home-like
I’ve been so impressed with this nursing home, especially the incredible activities they provide for residents. There’s always something engaging going on—from games and crafts to music and social events. The staff truly care about keeping residents active, happy, and connected. It brings so much comfort knowing our loved one is not only well cared for, but also enjoying life every day
Not sure why payments don't come out automatically. You have to keep reminding the Business Dept to pull the payment out every month. This person takes 60 days to take it out the payment. Veranda needs a better / updated payment process.
