Unremarkable and disappointing. I was eager to try this place for my father-in-law's birthday. The menu looked amazing, cocktail menu had several interesting twists,large assortment of wine, considered 'fine dining' with an excellent view of the water. I came here in May with my husband while we were on our honeymoon and I was impressed by the overall experience, but especially the food and service. I ordered the Halibut dish on the menu and my husband ordered the pork. There is a great selection of non-alcoholic drink options that aren’t just juice and soda, which I appreciated, because I do not drink. The mocktail I had was amazing and it was a good price point as far as mocktails go. Our server, Jeremy, was wonderful and did everything to ensure we had a nice dinner.
A couple days ago, we had the privilege to experience one of the most exquisite dinners we’ve ever had — prepared with artistry, passion, and heart by Chef Aron at Balance Rock Inn, Bar Harbor. The Veranda is a great restaurant to go for a celebration. We celebrated our anniversary here, and that seemed to be a theme in the dining room - the couples to our left and right were also there for their anniversary! The restaurant provided a cute custom designed menu with our name on it to enhance our celebratory experience. For a truly special evening, treat yourself to a dinner at The Veranda. The views and atmosphere are perfect, the service is spot on, and the food was excellent. Get dressed up, and ask for Sergi! He was amazing to us all evening long!
