It s the truth! Having the prison system get revenue from State and Federal monies is an incentive to fill them, One aspect that was not brought up was the incarceration of mentally ill people who do not commit crimes, are homeless and lost without family or support. Usually arrested for Vagrancy, they become lost in the penal systems and never get the treatments they need!
I like this organization. Our justice system is not working. Once caught up in the system a person is lost to society for life. They cannot find housing or a job and if they have no one on the outside to help them they are SOL. I hope we can make changes with the way prisons work. I think everyone should visit a prison to get an idea of how they are.
One of the greatest organizations on the face of the Earth! Their regular presentations on issues of law & justice are one of the only reasons to ever go to Downtown Manhattan!
The world is a better place because of you. Well done!
The we face in stopping this epidemic is communities coming together, which is not taking place, the problem is us and solution is us.
