Ordered appetizers 10 minutes after being seated. Waitress disappeared and we had to wait 35 minutes to order our actual food. Waited an extra 10 minutes and our waitress definitely forgot to put in our order because we still didn’t have our appetizers. Drinks were fine, but the service was terrible. They were down to one cook and they “86’d” half the menu, so we weren’t able to order the entree we wanted anyways. Ended up going somewhere else because it took so long. Don’t recommend. It was fine, but I wouldn't say it was anything special. We went for a late lunch and ended up waiting longer than expected for our drinks to come out, which was a little annoying. The cocktail I got was good but overpriced for what it was, just a standard margarita. I had the fish tacos and they were kinda dry, definately not the best Ive had. The view of the beach was nice, but the service felt a bit rushed even though it wasnt that busy. I cant really complain but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. It did the job.
Excellent sandwich. Great cocktails. And flights of gin, which was quite special!
We have lived down the street for over 30 years and ate at the old Rio Cafe a few times which was always disappointing. Finally tried Venus for a weekend lunch. The menu is short which is usually a good sign of quality. Nicely remodeled, lots of light. Don’t expect an ocean view as it looks into the parking lot but towards the ocean. The food was delicious.
