I originally had a great experience at Nelson Audiology in Ventura. I live in Santa Barbara and there are NO providers here that will use Lyric by Phonak. The staff at Ventura was absolutely some of the nicest I've ever encountered. From the front desk to the audiologist, Dr. Altus, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. EDIT - I quit going to Nelson Audiology because their accounting department was doing, what I considered, some ethically sketchy stuff. I wrote a letter to the owner but never heard back. Dr. Nelson did a thorough exam and I decided to get Phonax hearing aids. He adjusted my new hearing aids perfectly and I have been able to wear them all the time immediately. I can't believe that I like them. I was really dreading getting hearing aids. I appreciate Dr. Nelson's fitting and instruction which made the transition easy.
