Sunday night dinner, decent food, untrained and surly staff, hour long wait for food (not busy, we are pretty sure the order was not sent to kitchen), no checking in with us, ever (had to ask for more drinks, had to ask where our food was) but had a good chuckle when first half of order finally arrived and told extra charge for Reggiano! Overall, a solid 4 out of 5 stars. For a table of 2, we ordered the tasting menu & one of us had 1 glass of sparkling white white ($280 which includes 22% service fee). The service was spotty - we could see the staff really hustling, but I managed to finish my drink before the 1st course arrived. We enjoyed sitting indoors with the windows open although it was very noisy indoors. The food was good, and we left full. While we love supporting a local business, this would not be our first pick for an upscale meal.
waitress ignored us the whole time, not sure if they think that the mandatory surcharge is an excuse for bad service. the pasta tasted like it came out of a sysco truck and had pieces of spaghetti mixed in. $60 for 8oz of top sirloin that they only refer to as waygu. bread was good but i don’t think they make it in house. honestly not a good experience in any way and especially not for the price. buca di beppo is literally a better eating experience than this and i would never go there again. we took the leftovers in a doggy... read more
The food, as always, is delicious: great ingredients, fresh and clean flavors. But if a generous service charge is included, (and that is fine) the expectation is that it is sharp and friendly, not flat and lazy. One server had an easygoing rapport, the other was bothered by every footstep she took, it seemed. The food timing was on but we had to go inside to request another glass of wine. Huh?
