Sentara should be ashamed to call this an urgent care. You just tried to make Velocity a more appealing urgent care by putting your name on it. My husband went for abdominal pain, possible hernia or gall stones. The so called doctor on call told he needed a primary care doctor but you can’t get one of them til next year because Doctors let people still paranoid of Covid run their scheduling. The doctor wouldn’t send the referral to Urology because she wasn’t sure who the insurance accepted. He has Sentara insurance!! That is... read more
I’ve visited Sentara Urgent Care a few times, and unfortunately, the inconsistency in service has made it hard to recommend. While some staff members like Justin and Ms. Renee were genuinely kind and helpful, the overall experience often feels disorganized and lacking urgency. Despite having an appointment, I waited over an hour while staff chatted, made personal calls, and showed little concern for patient flow. The term “urgent” doesn’t seem to apply here. Ms. Renee was so helpful, even though her office was only doing telehealth. She pointed me in the right direction for help. She was patient with me when I had questions and assured me that I would be in good hands. Very pleasant!
Very not urgent. Made appointment for 5. Still waiting an hour and 15 minutes later. While all employees sit around and chat or go in and out of the building making personal phone calls. Sentara really should hire more competent employees
From the moment we walked in until we left, everyone was fantastic! When Justin came into the room he immediately made us feel like family. He was personable and kept the mood light and fun! Despite how ill i was feeling, he made us laugh and informed us of every step with such care. It takes a special kind of person to manage all the stress that comes with his position and still show so much passion for his job and his patients. Thank you so much Justin! You're the best!
