If I could give a 0, I would - the nurse practitioner they provide gave a poor instruction to go to the emergency room for a bowel blockage which was not what was diagnosed at the hospital. The hospital doctor knew immediately based on symptoms as did the nurse this was not the case and lectured on coming to the ER for a non emergency. The ER visit cost over $2k in hospital costs and also charged for the visit of his poor judgement at urgent care. Great experience today for an allergic reaction. Prompt, courteous and responsive. Justin the NP is wonderful. I’m glad I wasn’t deterred by the bad reviews as the clinic was less than 15 min from the marina at Smithfield Station.
Not an actual urgent care unless you have an appointment.
The only urgent care in existence for this area of Isle of Wight before having to travel to Suffolk or Newport News and they don't have a provider in site and are just doing telehealth appointments. Hospital visits become an industry created unnecessary higher expense when the urgent cares are being run and staffed so poorly. This state's health care is widely deficient. Consider these reviews from concerned and underserved locals before you relocate to this area.
