It is always stressful to go somewhere new and especially to a vet with my 12 year old dog. I am so happy I did and had a great experience with the staff and the doctor was thorough and kind. My dog always shakes at a vet but surprisingly was calm after a few minutes of being there. The staff were amazing and the dental cleaning procedure went really well. Thank you Vellore staff and doctor Ray for putting my mind at ease and taking good care of my needs. Definitely recommend this place
First of all, they take the pets away and do not let you be in the room while doing an exam of the pet. When you inquire about prices, one person says one thing and then another person says a totally different information when you’re there. They do not communicate to you what will happened during your appointment whatsoever even if you contact them before hand to make sure what will take place. My experience with Dr. Ray and his team was terrible. During my kitten's first visit (Bengal male about 4 months at the time), I asked Dr. Ray about food for my kitten, just trying to ensure that the food I was giving him was safe. Instead, he said he wasn't familiar with the brand and that I should switch, as breeders provide cheap food. For reference, I bought my Bengal kitten from an excellent and reputable breeder, who we later on discovered provided us with good quality food. Negligent Care – Avoid This Vet I brought my dog in for constipation and provided all necessary medical information. Despite this, the vet insisted on prescribing an appetite (hunger) stimulant, which I questioned because it made no sense for a constipated dog. They dismissed my concern and said it was the best option. My dog then began eating nonstop, became severely bloated, and I had to rush her to the emergency vet that same night, costing $400. Amazing experience! My pup wasn’t feeling well, and they were able to get us in just immediately after I called. They made my dog comfortable right away and really reassured me too. The vet communicated clearly, and the techs were so kind, caring, and knowledgeable. I felt completely confident in the care we received, highly recommend!
