When I could get hold of the local office service was great. Now that you get transferred to Vector’s “customer experience center” it is relatively hopeless. They couldn’t schedule a repair for nearly 2 weeks so our house has been uncovered. Wait times on the phones are routinely more than 10 minutes. They can’t confirm the time the service person will arrive until the last minute.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. We have several homes on one property that are serviced by Vector, and we have an annual service contract. Every time there is a problem with our system, it is very difficult to schedule a service. We have a defective hardwired FIRE alarm that keeps beeping so we had to uninstall it today. The first service appointment I could get is 10 days away, so we will be unprotected in the meantime. Beware of this company- 1- they have price increases VERY frequently 2- when you leave them for another company they won’t give you the installer or programming code needed to access and use YOUR system EVEN IF YOU’VE BOUGHT THE EQUIPMENT, essentially trying to keep you hostage as a customer. Save yourself the aggravation and don’t sign with Vector.
