The hotel has potential but a very disappointing pool experience, basically it's an adult party pool with old used discarded drink glasses scattered about. Plenty of staff but no one willing to clean up the edges of the pool. Luckily the glasses are plastic but what a mess. Not what I was expecting. This is not a luxury experience. It's a party place. I also forgot to mention every chair cushion is dirty. But they do have staff that will cover the cushions with a towel to hide the stains. We stayed here two weekends in a row... read more

I stayed there from the 19-21 and had the best experience I’ve ever had from a hotel. All the staff treated me so well and I thoroughly appreciated all of the services they provided. Stefan from bell was the biggest standout employee as he provided amazing service and conversation when I first arrived, but all of the staff are exceptional too.

The kind of service you remember VEA Newport Beach delivered the kind of hospitality that makes a hotel feel like so much more than a place to stay. Aldo in the restaurant was incredible—so attentive to my 14-year-old and me, and full of amazing local recommendations. He even surprised us by sending sparkling water, fruit, and chocolate up to our room. Brian at the front desk was incredibly kind and upgraded us to an ocean-view room for the entire week.
