We celebrated New Year's Eve at Vea Hotel Newport with our kids, and the entire experience was fantastic. Whitney went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable — our kids were even greeted with a fun giveaway, which was such a thoughtful touch and a huge hit with them. We recently stayed at VEA Newport Beach, and unfortunately, this experience fell well below what you would expect from a luxury resort at this price point. When you first arrive, the property is beautiful. The lobby, grounds, and overall atmosphere create a great first impression. However, that impression quickly faded after check-in. What an amazing view, beautiful suite that was comfortable and roomy. The two balconies were so big and loved the lounge chairs. The food was amazing especially the breakfast. Staff was so nice, it was several patrons who were just nasty, disrespectful and just rude to the staff members. Many just complained just to complain or be heard, so ridiculous. I was amazed at how these staff members held they composure and were still polite to these people.
