Wow! So I did do the proper step work. Contact the Urgent Care and it was suggested to go to the ER. I have a piece of celery stuck in my throat, that may have reach my chest/lungs. After being triaged, I was told to wait in the waiting room. I'm still waiting to be call back to see the doctor. I understand that you're call back, because of the nature of your visit. I would like to thank all the "victims"...umm "the patients," who have had the misfortune of needing to visit this poor excuse for a hospital, for warning me to stay away from it. The reviews here are nothing short of horror stories of absolute incompetence, negligence and lack of professionalism. This hospital must be seriously investigated by the Virginia Department of Health and by Virginia Medical Board, for malpractice and patients' neglect. Today I drove my neighbor from NC to this hospital after he received information from the police department that his wife had apparently driven herself to Tappahannock for unknown reasons. Apparently a dementia issue. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the entire nursing staff in the ER, especially Christina, the nurse in charge of social services and the head of nursing. Went to this hospital several years ago with issues about my gald bladder. After sitting in the emergency room for several hours the doctor came back and let me know that I had an infected gallbladder They sent me home while I was throwing up blood. Told me to come back in two days for surgery. "NOT" I went straight to Bon Secour in Mechanicsville and they did surgery right away.
