While waiting for the out patient, the small lobby lacked any amenities especially a working water fountain. Other VCU facilities at least had places to purchase food and beverages. More parking spaces would be nice.
Went to ER with an emergency. Security was on point upon entering ER in the building. Sign in and triage was very thorough and prompt. Doctor, Nurses and Staff were very professional. Evaluation, assessment, testing and discharge instructions were clear and very thorough. Thank you for your continued support and service for our community.
Unbelievably slow. Been in ER waiting room for 4 hrs. There are people who have been here longer. Too hot and no progress. Feel like I'm in a 3rd world country medical center. Avoid this place if you possibly can. Shame on you VCU.
Absolutely the worst hospital I have ever been to. I arrived around 10:30 p.m. with COVID-like symptoms but tested negative. I then spent 4 hours waiting for my results and a bed. After finally being seen, I ended up leaving around 3:00 a.m. The wait time was ridiculous, especially while feeling sick. To make matters worse, the nurses left the front desk unattended for over an hour, leaving patients with no one to answer questions or provide updates.
