I'm overcharged and very skeptical of this place - first dog had an inoperable tumor yet they led uS to believe that it "could" be a successful surgery- that they wouldn't actually know what they were dealing with until they surgically opened her up ( after thousands spent on MRI , CT scan) - $9,000 WASTED - total BS- she died on the table - second dog is barely 2 years old with hyperemesis - $1700 for the exam and tests AND medicine to stop the vomiting for 24 hours which -DID NOT WORK- total BS- I'm about to put this dog ... read more
I was alerted that my 2-year-old dog was due for a heartworm screening and tick-borne disease test; essentially, blood work. I called to schedule the appointment and was told that an annual exam was mandatory, although my dog had just had an exam 6 months ago. After calling the Alexandria VCA and speaking with the coordinator supervisor, who also confirmed that this was not policy and offered to call over to see what was going on, he was told the same information. Full disclosure, my daughter works at this facility, but that gives me a bit of a unique perspective into how they treat their animals. Every single staff member here loves cats. They are so gentle, patient, and caring with every cat that comes into the door, ours included. The vets are both two of the most lovely people I've ever met and I absolutely trust them with my cat's life. I’ve waited several months to write this because I genuinely hate leaving bad reviews (I don’t even send back my food when a restaurant gets it wrong). My 10 year old cat had an invasive surgery that she probably shouldn’t have had. After speaking to her regular vet about the concerns I had post-op, the vet assured me all was normal. If I could rate the front desk receptionist s a zero I would. They have no idea on how their payments plan for their wellness program works . I actually blame the care club manager who is never there for not training the staff on how to properly take payments for their wellness plan.
If your pets life was dependent upon this people your pet will die. They recommended food that requires a prescription but will only sell it to you if you are part of their clientele. so what happens if you have another vet and it is not them? your pet will die of starvation. i hope they get what they deserve.
I received a notice in the mail saying my cat was due for his vaccinations. I pay $39.99 a month for my cat to be a Care Club member. I made the appointment and upon check out, I was told because he had his vaccination a week too soon, I would be charged the full price. I told Karen, I had received a notice in the mail, I was unaware it was too soon, I was going by the notification, she said well let me ask the boss or you will be charged the full price. Dr Neville and staff are very caring Dr Neville has cared for my animals for many years and always has been patient and honest with me no matter how it hurts but to me that is the best policy that I love about Dr Neville so thank you for all you do for animals I would recommend him to anyone thanks Bert rada and family
