If I could give negative numbers, I would. I am BEYOND frustrated with this emergency vet. I brought my dog in because he cannot walk on one of his legs, its curled under and the poor guy just falls over. No xrays were done, just blood tests. (Im fine with this as a starting point) I could not be with my dog which is eh, but ok. I was told by the doctor his BP is up so they will give a valium and see if that helps the BP. I got 3 minutes in a room for the doctor to say it MAY be a pinched nerve. It MAY be blood related. Sign... read more

My family went to this veterinarian in the early 1970’s . I decided to see them again in 2008 when my cat Chigger was experiencing heart failure. They provided great care for Chigger and told me what to expect. Chigger passed. I brought my 2 new cats to ChatOak beginning in 2011 or so. I thought I received good service during the next 10 years.  In early 2021(during the so called pandemic) I brought my cat Tiger to this facility and he was diagnosed with lymphoma of the intestines. Chemo was the recommended treatment, which ... read more

On 9 July, 2025, shortly after they opened, I brought my dog in with an injured paw and asked if she could be seen. This was on Wednesday morning. Iwas told that the earliest appointment would be Saturday. Obviously the part about emergency treatment is a bunch of bologna. It's a good thing that the problem wasn't life threatening or else I just have to watch my dog die. This is on top of how last year, I had my dog spayed here. Then I spent the next two weeks having to deal with the damage done when the vet "nicked" her bla... read more

Excellent experience. From beginning to end, I was blown away by the politeness, professionalism, friendliness, and quality of service. The office was spotless and pleasant. I was kept abreast of each stage. Over the years, my pup has gone to two other Vet Dentists in different areas (Santa Cruz and Colorado). While they were good, Rancho Cordova Dentistry was the best I've experienced (and I am a very particular and neurotic dog mommy). Also, their prices were the most reasonable of the three dentists I've been to. I got ex... read more

We recently took our dog in for an emergency. Due to her age, we knew the end result would not be good. Unfortunately, she needed to be euthanatized. The staff showed great care during this most difficult time and guided us through the tough decision. I thank them from the bottom of my heart and greatly appreciate their attention to us and our needs during a horrible time.

Horrible place, is you value your pet don't go here. took my dog in as he was sick. They did an ultra sound and they said they couldn't see anything because your boy doesn't do ultra sounds good. They listened to his heart beat and said we think he has heart disease. They gave me 2 options, option one to put him down, option 2 try a couple hundred dollars in meds and if the meds don't work I would have to put him down. I tried the meds and he got worse right away, couldn't even stand up could barley keep his eyes open. I too... read more

They almost killed my dog. 'Nuff said, obviously. I will explain further later. I'm too upset right now after all night vigil watching him almost bleed out. "Dr" Aguilar is a heinous C-U-Next-Tuesday. Don't let her kill your dog! Definitely don't let her clean his/her teeth. She'll txt you all kinds of bullshit but get you so scared for your pet that you do it. Cha-ching

I'm overcharged and very skeptical of this place - first dog had an inoperable tumor yet they led uS to believe that it "could" be a successful surgery- that they wouldn't actually know what they were dealing with until they surgically opened her up ( after thousands spent on MRI , CT scan) - $9,000 WASTED - total BS- she died on the table - second dog is barely 2 years old with hyperemesis - $1700 for the exam and tests AND medicine to stop the vomiting for 24 hours which -DID NOT WORK- total BS- I'm about to put this dog ... read more

I was alerted that my 2-year-old dog was due for a heartworm screening and tick-borne disease test; essentially, blood work. I called to schedule the appointment and was told that an annual exam was mandatory, although my dog had just had an exam 6 months ago. After calling the Alexandria VCA and speaking with the coordinator supervisor, who also confirmed that this was not policy and offered to call over to see what was going on, he was told the same information. He was genuinely surprised and not aware of that policy. He ... read more
