First, they say they're an emergency hospital, but they actually send you to other VCA facilities for an emergency. The VCA emergency in Carlsbad has long waits and want you to leave your dog that already is stressed, while a technician arranges a phone consult with a doctor. Really? That's emergency care? So I scheduled a non-emergency appointment at their next availability and when I arrived I was told it's a "drop off" appointment and I would have to leave my dog for "several hours" so the vet can see her between patients... read more
Worst pet hospital we have ever been to. Their professionalism is non-existent. We were told our checkup would only be a few mins. After four hours we finally were helped and able to take our pet home. This is after calling them multiple times and being told someone would call you right back or be right with you. They will also talk you into things you don't need and charge you outrageous prices. Find some where else!
