Do not take your loved ones here. Took my eldest dog there 10/1 at 3AM seen by Dr Moravec. Patient care is not a priority. Money is the priority and what they can sell you. Explicitly provided details that my eldest and youngest dog were experiencing the same symptoms of the runs, vomiting and lethargic for 4 days, but only brought my eldest because we saw blood in her stool and foaming at the mouth while youngest were doing better. Very expensive. Only interaction with vet and assistants was without my dog. They took her in the back and I never saw her again until after I paid the bill. They wanted to run unnecessary tests to the tune of $2000 including a test for amphetamines and lime disease. The dog had had a seizure. They gave her no medicine for the confusion, the foaming at the mouth or the constant pacing.
No stars, I took my dog up there because he was pooping blood. They are so STUPID UP THERE, he had SEPSIS. He died yesterday morning. They had nothing to tell me about him.I went and got him and brought him home where he passed away. It started when I took him to urgent care in Papllion (don't go there either). They gave him metroshit meds for WORMS and did not even check his poop.He did not have worms. Dr.Meyers, her surgical team, the front desk, Dr. Sharon Mix at the office, they were all very kind and compassionate towards my dog Storm. Even in the deliverance of bad news, they took care of us well. We were referred to VCA by an emergency vet, without an actual referral. Dr. Mix found a way to get us in, and got us a referral, within 48 hours our dog was having surgery. We felt completely taken care of this whole time.
When our cat Bella unexpectedly passed away, VCA provided a kind, patient, and compassionate experience for us. Everyone was so kind and caring and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience even though this was such a terrible loss for us. I will never forget the kindness.
