Not Happy with VCA After two other incidents of having to go back to VCA for extra blood testing because Antech accidentally threw away my cat's sample (twice), I brought my cat in for his yearly check up/ blood work. I was called and told that the results were fine. Over two months later, my cat became ill. VCA Animal Hospital Burbank/Terrible! I took my cat in because she was acting up. They needed to sedate her and told me they would do some urine tests. Told me to come back in an hour. When I showed up they told me it would be $350 for all kinds of test. So I paid and questioned why I was not told about charges before they did the tests. WAY expensive It is possible that these people are the best veterinarians on the planet. Perhaps their healing touch is so amazing that animals everywhere are cured merely by passing over the threshold. At these prices, they had better be. A well pet visit came with an estimate for dental work (removing two teeth) that was OVER $1700! A trip to the highly rated vet down the street saw the same work done, quite effectively, for $400. Too busy to operate properly/no communication I took my cat here for a few months and initially had good service, but it just got worse from there. After having my cat diagnosed with diabetes, I began the treatment for her which involved insulin shots 2 times a day. After a certain amount of time, you are required to have another blood test done to determine if the dosage is correct or needs to be adjusted. This is where the trouble started. Convenient Location & Hours in North Hollywood The office staff is nice and helpful and I didn't wait too long for my initial visit. The DVM was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. Would definitely recommend them to anyone living in the North Hollywood/Burbank/Studio City area.
great vets I love the vets at Arbor Animal Hospital. They are some of the most kind, caring, friendly stagg that I have ever met. They provide good care and are always a pleasure to work with. This is one of my favorite vets in Austin and I would recommend them to anyone in need of a good caring vet.
Great Vet Povar has been a wonderful vet to my little guy. The Drs. and staff are wonderful. The atmosphere has just been remodled and is bar none (better than most human hospitals) Very clean!!! The prices are a bit on the high side compared to other vets in the area but I think it is worth every penny!
VCA Animal Hospital is Good for the Studio Set Terribly convenient for folks working at the studios. They open up early in the morning to help with people's work schedule. The assistants are all very nice (and comforting) while the DVMs are incredibly knowledgeable - I've yet to stump them and I have two aging dogs.
This is the best vet I have ever been to!! Dr. Banner is the most caring and understanding vet I have ever come across. She takes the time to explain everything and get to know your dog. No question is to small for her to thoughtfully take the time to answer your questions or concerns. I have been to other Pets Are Peole Too locations, but I will definitely be taking my dogs to Dr. Banner from now on.
