I signed up my dog for the VCA careclub member in February of this year. My initial visit was for a skin problem my dog had. It has improved a bit but has not gone away after 5 months and a total spent of $1286.40 including the monthly plan. What really ticks me off was that, on my last visit, they prescribed a pill called metronidazole and was charged $24.12 when you can order it for almost .50, yes 50 cents. Please, do NOT take your pet this place!!! If I could give this so- called animal hospital zero stars than I would. I spent $782.90 here on my dog who was sick, and they did nothing to help him. Instead, they took him to the back to get blood drawn as well as x-rays and sent us on our way. Later that evening animal services showed up to my house because apparently my dog bit the technician, however, no one ever mentioned this me. Nor did they mention that he was behind on his shots. We took our dog to get treated. She was diagnosed with a UTI. We asked that they please send the prescription to 1800Petmeds.com. something we have done for years at every Vet we visit. This is typically faxed over as soon as we request it. This hospital handled it very differently. We were told that 1800petmeds only sells this prescription in bottles of 15. They said our dog only needed 5 pills and that they would be cheaper. The cost for 5 pills at the vet was $59. I told them I would call them back and went online to sear... read more
