We had a litter of puppies and had lost one and had another in distress. We went to VCA and the vet ended up putting down our puppy calling out aspiration and chest issues and that it was our best option. When we got home two others were also sick so we decided to try emergency vet care in Madison WI. We had a completely different experience, prompt care with IV support and fluids, chest x-rays and blood work and our puppies were saved with antibiotics and care. We went in the emergency room. My lily was not breathing. She did it twice in a row and I wanted to answers. I called my primary vet and my primary vet told me to take her to the VCA an emergency clinic that they could assist me and they were specialized so I trust them and I went to this clinic .I had to stay there for over five hours and all they did was put a IV in her and then the doctor exam which is fine the emergency fee but then I trusted them and I asked them if I pay $1300 am I going to get answers and their answer... read more

We brought our dog Hopper in with a lymphoma diagnosis. Our oncologist, Dr. Able and her team couldn’t have more compassionate, understanding, patient and thorough. Hopper’s lymphoma proved to be quite resistant and although we tried multiple different cancer treatments, he didn’t make it. Dr. Able and her team were always available to talk, they answered every single question we had and never made us feel dumb for asking. UPDATE: would like to leave a special shout out to VCA manager, Dana. She did a fantastic job handling this situation. I commend her for her efforts to track down our recorded phone calls, the staff who worked that day, and for talking with staff to fix this situation. If I could leave zero stars, I would. My dog was recently diagnosed with cancer, and my community highly recommended VCA Aurora Oncology. I couldn’t agree more with all the negative reviews . This place use to be great. It has gone down hill. Is all about the money. Discussing needless to say. I truly believe you are better off not taking your dog here. The bill will drill a hole on your wallet so big that you will be paying years for it. I chose to leave and it was the best decision I made. My dog is well and happy. Get ready to pay for tests because they are so incompetent they need to do every test there is to figure out what is going on. And still they can... read more
