Sadly, we recently had to put our dog, Coconut, to sleep, but KBVC was truly wonderful throughout the entire experience. In the weeks leading up to Coconut’s passing, we had several emergency room visits, and every single time KBVC was amazing. Grateful for the VCA! Dr. Duffy is the best vet for my German Shepherd. VCA saved my dog’s life when his stomach flipped—their swift, life-saving care and ready records gave me my dog back. Knowing they’re 24/7 is a huge comfort. They’re also wonderful with my cat and have helped our office stray cat colony many times.
My concern is not simply the outcome, but the lack of transparency surrounding my dog’s care. I brought her in for a post-op, X-ray of the right hind leg, yet her left hind leg was X-rayed without my knowledge or informed consent. The final X-ray showed a cruciate ligament tear in the left leg which was not disclosed to me. There was no such injury present or documented prior to this visit. The staff and Dr Chou were amazing! They took very good care of my puppy and we couldn't be anymore grateful to them
Took my 15 year old dog in on New Years Day as an emergency visit to help make my dog with bladder cancer comfortable until I could see my primary vet the next day. Dr. Gillian Kaplan was extremely condescending towards me and would not sign off on a pain med for my dying dog unless I signed an AMA. I refused to sign but was eventually given the med to take home with my dog. Not a great way to start 2026.
