I’ve lived in this apartment for 5 years, and it’s truly felt like home. The landlord has always been kind, respectful, and genuinely cares about the well-being of the tenants. Anytime I had a question or concern, it was addressed quickly and with care. I also have to give a huge thank you to Jose, the maintenance guy—he’s incredibly reliable, friendly, and always quick to fix anything. His attentiveness and kindness made such a difference. Vazquez Management Company has been the most amazing company I have ever worked with. Margie and Jose are both so incredibly responsive, respectful, and friendly. On rare occasion that I had any issue in the apartment, it was handled within hours. It is so evident how much Margie and Jose care about the people living in their apartments and the building maintenance as well. The Vasquez apartments have been a delight to live in. Right on Walnut Street local businesses are within steps of your front door. The Walnut St train stop goes right to Manhattan and is only a 4 minute walk from the buildings (can be done in less than half that time if you run, which I have had to do ). The main strip of Bloomfield with dozens of restaurants is only a 10 minute walk from here. The buildings are exquisitely maintained. 146 Walnut street is the most charming and such a safe place to live!! Incredibly close to the train (in the city within 30 minutes), Bloomfield Ave with everything it has to offer is just a few blocks away, and how could I forget the great neighborhood bars, restaurants and shops right on Walnut Street. Given the number of positive reviews that this place has, I really wanted to like it, but I unfortunately cannot recommend staying here. The apartment I moved into recently had its floors varnished, and it gave off strong fumes that were present during my viewing. I was assured by Margie, the super, that the odor would go away within a few days. After moving in, it took nearly a YEAR before the odor finally dissipated, and this was after wiping the floor numerous times with a variety of cleaners. I may have suffered permanen... read more
