Many years ago, I came to Charles Vavrin days after my father beat me with his hands and belt. He broke my foot and after much persuasion I convinced/guilted my mother to take me to a foot doctor. Dr. Vavrin saw the bruises on my foot, my busted lower lip and X-rayed my broken foot.
