I went to PartsParts to purchase a front axle for my Mazda. From the beginning, I provided the correct part number, but the employee told me it was unnecessary and that the vehicle model alone was enough to identify the correct part. The first part they sold me was incorrect. Instead of issuing a refund, they ordered another one. I purchased a front axle for my Mazda from PartsParts. The first part was incorrect because the employee relied only on my vehicle's model instead of the part number I provided. When I returned to the store, they suggested ordering another part instead of giving me a refund. Before the order was placed, I once again provided the correct part number, the exact dimensions, and confirmation from a Mazda dealership. The second part was also wrong, and I was charged a $50 restocking fee when I returned it.
I believe the $50 return fee should be refunded because I was not responsible for any of the errors. I provided the correct part number from the start and later confirmed it with the Mazda dealership. The store ignored that information and ordered two incorrect parts. Charging me for their mistakes is unfair.
