The best estate/property liquidation seller ... 1. Mike and his crew know the local and second hand market; they are reputable, know retail and collectible prices, what sells and what it sells for. This is a middle class island with a limited market, it is not a retail or antique store, and items need to move in a weekend 2. They get a fair sales price for the seller. I love Vashon Island Estate sales! Some of the nicest folks you’ll ever want to meet! I have so appreciated the way that they have run their business over the years and especially during these tough times with their online sales and safe drive up/pickup it shows that they care. I used Mike Urban when I downsized to a smaller house. I gave him two huge truckloads of stuff much of which was new or almost brand new and antiques and he completely ripped me off. He was very dishonest and refused to provide any kind of list or account in anyway what he sold and for how much. He told me one amount right after the sale and then sent me significantly less. Amy! Please call so we can discuss. It says in my contract that I am unable to keep an inventory. We priced your stuff at the standard 50 to 60% of retail value. It may have seem like we took two truck loads, but in reality each was a half truck load or less. Given the amount of stuff you consigned with us your gross sales were excellent, compared to similar loads. I am sorry you were disappointed with the return. The second-hand market is not retail.
