I waited for weeks to get an appointment for an MRI only to be turned away by the very kind tech who greeted me at the west side location. Whomever is the head of the scheduling team needs to train their personnel on what the protocol is for their "pre medicating" facility requirement when a patient has a potential allergy to the contrast. All of this should have been discussed with me at the time of scheduling NOT when I arrived at the facility to have the scan. My overall experience for UTE - Uterine Fibroid Embolization at CORA’s Vascular Intervention Specialists in Bend, OR =A++++!! The doctor, nurses and other staff are terrific and the procedure was super smooth! The anesthesia experience was mellow and short lived. I’m just taking Ibuprofen the day after with zero pain at incision at femoral artery! Time will tell if the procedure is a success overall but I’m extremely happy I took this step!
