I called to get a hold of my medical escort.. I knew as soon as the woman answered she would be of no help.. She answered “Hellllloooooooo” no “thanks for calling Varscona, how may I help you?” Unprofessional service, do not stay at this hotel. Dirty dark hallways and unkept foyer. Find anywhere else but here. Save your money, for a place with better service.

We had a really pleasant stay at the Varscona Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location was excellent, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops within walking distance on Whyte Avenue. It was also easy to get around the city from the hotel. Really disappointing stay last weekend at the Varscona. The first thing is that the parking is not only separate from the hotel, but is also not accessible. The bed was uncomfortable, and the flat sheet used at the fitted sheet didn’t stay on whatsoever. It was gross. Air conditioning was supposed to be available, but it was not present in the guest room. Great AC in the hallway though.
