this was quite literally the worst food and dining experience I have ever had in Charlotte and in my entire life. I came here with two of my girlfriends that I was ultimately saying goodbye to before moving to a different city and was utterly disappointed at the poor service quality and food. Excellent food! Best espresso martini and the bar tender was fabulous!! Personable, funny and quick! Definitely recommend. Had the pesto, beat ever!
I’ve been here a few times before and while I have had mixed experiences at bella ciao. My most recent experience today was not my best. I mostly just wanted a small salad and requested a grilled chicken caesar, the lunch portion, because i wasn’t very hungry. The chicken was dry and the caesar salad was almost not even there but I overlooked it and decided i wouldn’t complain. Great people working, it was hot as hades in there. Great for take-out, I'd not dine in again.
Perhaps, wrong time to visit on July 4th for lunch. But if the restaurant is open the expectation is that the food is prepared with same passion just like any other day. The Caesar Salad, Alfredo pasta and Pepperoni pizza were all very salty for us. Hopefully, this is just one off experience.
