Van's Chinese Seafood Restaurant

3.5

About this business

In the mood for sushi? Go to Van's. Moo Goo Gai Pan? Try Van's. Spring rolls? Van's. This multi-faceted restaurant in old Alamo Heights deftly blends Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine in an unhurried atmosphere. Van's serves a steady business rush at lunch and draws a crowd as varied as its dinner menu. The mostly nondescript décor is made interesting by a wall of wine bottles offset by a fish tank-lined wall.

Love everything about Vans. We have been going here for 6 years now. Food always perfect and the white Asparagus Soup is to die for.

The staff as super friendly, the wine list had long legs and the food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Terrible. Management disrespected their customers and the new hire server who worked hard to super-serve a hungry table. Was charged $30 for a special request of shrimp/beef/chicken plate that was the same serving as a $12 Triple Delight. Skip it.

Been waiting for my ticket for 20 minutes and it's not busy at all. Got a flat dented Dr. Pepper and a hair in a friends food. Duck was flavorless without drowning it in sauce. Not a good experience at all
