I'm so lucky to find Alex and Vanlife Customs in the area. I bought a pre-owned built out 2023 Promaster. I was having issue with the installed heater and Alex got it running in no time. Since the van was prebuilt, I did not have a lot of knowledge on the electrical and units installed. Alex took the time to explain the features and I feel so much more confident about my built. I will definitely be coming back for any additional upgrades.
Alex is one intelligent guy that is a wizard with anything vanlife related. He fixed my friend’s van heater in a few short minutes and was super kind about the service. Would definitely recommend him to anyone. I’ve seen his full van build outs and they are super impressive! Great work from an awesome human. Thanks Alex!

Alex was a huge help in analyzing then fixing my electrical issues! I was lucky he was available and able to help me. And the price was reasonable! I drove 3 hours to see him - the half dozen RV service centers/CamperVan builders that I called in the SW Wisconsin/NE Iowa and even the edges of the Chicago burbs area that seemed likely to know something about camper van builds & electrical systems either couldn’t fit me in for a couple weeks or said it wasn’t something they handled. I am so glad to have found Alex! I have a 2nd hand van, and am dependent on the previous owner's build & maintenance. Alex rebuilt the core electrical system after I overstressed the existing. Alex added fuses and sufficient gague wiring, making it vastly safer, and giving me confidence in traveling. We also had an issue with a converter that wouldn't perform adequately. Alex took the time to troubleshoot the issue and fixed it, working around my schedule. Alex is an amazing resource. I highly trust and recommend him!
