I try so hard to use local businesses in Elgin but places like Vanity make it hard. I had an appt and sat in the lobby for over 20 minutes wondering if I was supposed to sign in or let someone know I had an appt, but no one at the front desk & everyone was with clients in the next room. A couple of employees came out to assist other customers but hurried away before I could stop & ask how the process worked. I left without getting assistance or a haircut.
