Extremely Disappointed – Poor Office Staff Communication and Cost Transparency I initially felt hopeful about seeing Dr. Bala—she’s warm, knowledgeable, and seems like a great physician. Asked to arrive 30 minutes before appointment just to wait in lobby for over hour before getting called in. Finally get called in just to wait again. I have better things to do with my time than sit in a doctors office close to 2 hours.
It was time for my colonoscopy and the doctor I had seen for years had retired, so needed to find a new one. Made an appointment and on the initial visit, she scheduled the colonoscopy. No exam at all. The next thing, two days before the scheduled colonoscopy, I got a call from her office saying I had to pay $220 upfront or she would not do the procedure. She is an amazing gastrologist and I highly recommend her to everyone. She was my gastro until my case became a little more complicated and I needed to go downtown to see another specialist. She still contacts me personally to check on me every so often, and is so caring and still making sure that I'm being taken care of. Once I have my gastro surgery, I do plan to return to her and do my health screenings. She will always be my OG Gastro🫶
Cured me of constant diarrhea caused by chemo drugs.
