My parents created their trust with Vanguard several years ago. My father recently passed away and when my mother contacted them to find out how much it would be to amend the trust, she was quoted an outrageous price. I'm sure they will respond that they provide a litany of services in conjunction with the trust amendment but when I reviewed those services, most were either already completed by our funeral home or so simple that we can complete them in just a few minutes. I went to the workshop offered in my area (North Sacramento, Roseville). A two hour workshop explained everything I needed to know about getting a Trust to prevent probate. The documents came very fast and were finalized. A notary came to my home and I signed everything, later the documents were sent to me in a black binder. Easy Peasy and for a great cost compared to other law firms. Thank You Vanguard Legal Group.
