At my wedding we had smoked brisket, chicken, Mac and cheese, collard greens with bacon, smoked blueberry cheesecake and more. As my wife and I went to weddings of friends and family events years after we would all revel over that meal. I hired Vandervate BBQ for my first child’s graduation party in 2021 & again for my second child’s in 2025. Guests literally asked me if we’d be having the same BBQ again! One said, “Even better than last time!” Brisket & ribs were a huge hit. Guests asked to take leftovers home! Tender & flavorful. Smoked to perfection.
The BBQ and sides were absolutely delicious! John clearly has a passion for barbecue, and you can taste it in every bite. His homemade sausage and the seasoning were exceptional, and I loved the dill in the potato salad. Plus, the portions were HUGE—no one left hungry! What an amazing spread! The best, BEST bbq You can get outside of Texas! Just ask all 120 people at my daughter’s wedding. John got to the venue at 4am and started the brisket, it was such a wonderful experience to have our dinner cooking there onsite.
