After I drove for over an hour for a hand injury, they refused to treat me because I am self-pay. They told me to go to the Vanderbilt emergency clinic next door, where a nurse told me to use an ice pack. (I was charged $90 for that.) I was told that I would be referred to an orthopedic physician in the following week. Nope. When I called the number I was given, they basically told me to get lost. The website should say "no self pay accepted even for a minor injury" instead of "insurance accepted."
