A walk in clinic is called "walk in" because it should be quick and do not NEED an appointment. I waited almost 2 hours for a simple test that would take 2 seconds. They even told the people WITH appointments they would have to wait, as they had two "emergenies" to deal with. Why is an emergency being dealt with at the walk in clinic? They should go to the hospital. Do not go here
I had an appointment at 12:30pm, where I drove 30 min to get here to be seen on time. I arrive and over an hour passes with still no word on when I will be seen. I ask the front desk and they say there were “2 emergencies” before me… when this isn’t an ER… and they said I would be next. They sent someone else back and then finally let me come back. DON'T BOTHER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT! As a long time Vanderbilt patient for all primary care needs + multiple specialties, I made an appointment for 9:30 AM to have possible upper respiratory issue looked at. Filled out all the pre-visit forms as required for all VUMC appointments. Deciding to go a bit early I was utterly shocked to be told that even if I'd showed up at my appointed time there was little chance that they could see me because they "had only one provider" and, basically, it made zero difference whether I had an ... read more
The lady at customer services is very rude and liar. She lied to me about the follow up visit that my daughter following with persistent cough worsening would be seen but when we got there we were told due to insurance concerns just because she was seen less than 24 hours ago the visit would be more likely not covered. If it was the case she should have told this before we headed all the way to the clinic in this cold weather with my little shivering and persistently coughing.
