Absolute lack of communication or information on care, disgusting room with literal bug guts smeared on the wall, stuck for two hours with an IV in my arm connected to nothing and my husband had to harass the staff to get someone to remove it or get any actual information from anyone.
Worst ER ever!!! Ridiculous on the wait times
Just got home from there with my husband and sadly after 15 hours in a chair being shuffled from room to room like a herd of cattle with no one actually speaking to us about anything, we left AMA. Never wanted to do that but all they kept saying was, we think this is serious but just keep waiting because it's someone else's job to speak to you about it, all the while no one knows what anyone else is supposed to be doing. We have been waiting 13 hours and counting. This is what our healthcare pays for. Staff is friendly. Protocols and systems are clearly not efficient. I expected more from Vandy.
Vanderbilt is no longer the best hospital in TN. They have an absolute worst ER. My wife's Grandmother was transported there yesterday afternoon, has spinal fractures and sat in a hallway over night to today. Shes 79 yrs old. My wife sat in the hallway all night over night with her when her grandfather is at home dying of terminal lung cancer. They didnt give her a room, they didnt do anything.
