Understaffed, overwhelmed staff. Rude support staff. Was told it may up to 3 days for a bed. I had already waited 10 hours. People screaming in the waiting area. I saw 2 fights. I wanted to leave against medical advice and was told I could not leave because I was to sick. I felt trapped. No visitors were allowed in the waiting room due over crowding. Unfortunately, my recent experience in the Vanderbilt Emergency Department was deeply disappointing. If I could give 0 stars I would, but not an option. I went here with severe abdomen pain and waiting over 5 hours for nothing! The doctors came in to say that they didn't think it was necessary to do a CT scan that they was reassuring that I was fine. After being released I went to another hospital for the same issue, and they found the problem, I had a cyst on right ovary, also inflammation of the colon. Vanderbilt is terrible now!
