I’ve been here several times between 2019-2021 due to panic attacks and psychiatric concerns (PTSD).
I need to spend the entire day at the emergency room yesterday due to a concerning appendix. Each member of staff I interacted with was attentive, kind and worked quickly to address my needs. Most were efficient yet maintained a level of lightness that eased my nerves while they provided excellent care. Huge shoutout to the everyone involved in making April 30th, 2026 a decent day for me.
If you are in need for a medical emergency, do not go to this place. They do not listen and they will not help you. I’ve had chest and back pain, I’ve been waiting for 7 hours and all they’ve done is given me Tylenol. I told them that it’s not helping my back let alone my chest and they still didn’t help, like they just completely ignored me. Go to st Thomas or any other hospital for an emergency because Vanderbilt is unprofessional and disrespectful.
Brought my mom from 1 hour 15 mins away to your ER with stroke symptoms because Vanderbilt is supposedly the best. We sat in the waiting room for 4 hours. We have now been in a room for over 2 hours with zero care while we listen to the nursing staff AND doctors prank call people and laugh hysterically.
Went in pain and assumed it was related to one of my chronic health conditions, so expressed that upon arrival but THANK GOD they are thorough caregivers because despite me leading them to that conclusion, they did their due diligence and figured out what the problem was, which was unrelated to my chronic conditions and was semi-serious if left untreated.
