After rushing to the ER from Clarksville at 1 a.m. because of concerns about my child’s breathing, the staff at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Infirmary Emergency Room were incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were registered quickly and taken straight back to triage, which immediately helped ease my anxiety as a parent. I think they forgot about us. Been here since 12:30 pm and still waiting, it is 5pm. This is ridiculous. They need to do better.
I was completely against a catheter for my two year old daughter but agreed out of feeling forced and bullied by the nurse. It's been 2 weeks and my daughter is still absolutely traumatized by this procedure. All for absolutely nothing and no answers. I do not recommend this pediatric ER.
Absolutely the BEST place for pediatric care. I can't express how amazing the staff, doctos, and nurses are. If you have a sick child, then this is the place to go.
